Fiber

When we discovered that we could pair our favorite farm animal (goats) with one of our favorite crafts (fiber arts) we immediately bought our first herd of Colored Angora goats. Angora goats grow mohair which is both durable and resilient. Mohair is notable for its high luster and sheen, and is often used in fiber blends to add these qualities to a textile. Mohair takes dye exceptionally well. It feels warm in winter as it has excellent insulating properties, while its moisture-wicking properties allow it to remain cool in summer. It is durable, naturally elastic, flame-resistant and crease-resistant. It is considered a luxury fiber, like cashmere, angora, and silk.

Roving

Mohair roving is fun to use for felting, spinning, weaving, crafting, or any other textile creation. We sell our roving by the ounce in limited quantities of natural and dyed colors.

Yarn

We love to knit with mohair, so we make lots of yarn. We typically spin it into worsted/heavy weight, but we are currently working on a new order that will include lighter weights. Be sure to subscribe to our newsletter to be the first to hear of our new releases!

Natural Dye

After several years of getting our fiber dyed at a mill, this year we have some exciting news. We've decided to transition over to 100% natural dyes using plants grown on our farm! Follow us on Instagram to watch as we harvest our first dye crops, such as marigold, indigo, saffron, and navajo tea and experiment with coloring our fiber with nature.
